$160 - $225 / hr depending on shift

Description

The Department of Psychiatry, a department of the University of Rochester, is recruiting a time-as-reported faculty psychiatrist for the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) to help cover shifts as needed (not to exceed two eight hour shifts a week).

Join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team providing acute psychiatric care in an 24-hour emergency setting. This practice location is currently using the EPIC electronic medical records system and training will be provided.

NYS Licensed psychiatrists applying to this position will be expected to secure an individual DEA and will be required to complete a post-offer health assessment and drug test at the University’s Employee Health site in Rochester, NY at least one month prior to start.

With over 10,000 visits per year, we are the primary provider of emergency psychiatric services to our diverse and vibrant community in Western New York. Our program has a 24/7 interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, RN's and social workers, and encompasses a dedicated behavioral health space immediately adjacent to the Emergency Department, Extended Observation Beds unit, a Mobile Crisis Team, and currently expanding with a Crisis Stabilization Hub.

Qualifications

+ Must Possess an MD or equivalent and be board certified (or board eligible)

+ Must obtain NYS licensure prior to start

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
