    Chenega Systems (CS) provides federal agencies with empowered solutions in Cybersecurity and Data Visualization. Our Subject Matter Experts offer decades of experience working in the federal marketplace and the data visualization environment.

     

    TheLead DevOps Engineer, M&S Platform Baseline Requirements Engineer,is responsible for the design, implementation, and configuration management of an interactive virtual Modeling & Simulation system and tools to meet individual Mission Qualification Training and operational system requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Design and implement build, testing, deployment, and configuration management.

    + Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.

    + Handle code deployments in all environments.

    + Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.

    + Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.

    + Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.

    + Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.

    + Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects.

    + Manage CI and CD tools with the team.

    + Document and design various processes and update existing processes.

    + Improve infrastructure development and application development.

    + Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retrospectives.

    + Provide support to transition engineering.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field.

    + An equivalent combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of a degree

    + 7+ years of relevant experience developing in systems such as C++, Python, AFSIM, Web services, Database, and/or web application development. To include:

    + Architect, implement, and configure the M&S DevSecOps Platform for cloud and on-premises environments as required by the M&S application, user, or site.

    + Platform development, including core platform services and implementing Infrastructure as Code.

    + Designing and maintaining systems to achieve high reliability and availability.

    + Secret clearance required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Proficient with DevSecOps tools and processes, including, but not limited to, GitLab, SonarQube, and Fortify.

    + Baseline IAT-II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M requirements preferred.

    + Leadership and self-direction skills are highly desired.

    + Ability to solve complex problems utilizing creative thinking skills.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Ability to critically analyze and understand the systems and communicate system requirements to the customer and leadership.

    + Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks, like Scrum and Kanban with a strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.

    + Strong knowledge about Agile techniques, like user stories, continuous integration, ATDD, TDD, continuous testing, pairing, automated testing, and agile games.

    + Knowledge about the value of metrics and incremental delivery.

    + Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and velocity, etc.

    + Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.

    + Ability to work nights, weekend, and holidays as required.

    + Ability to maintain and keep a secret security clearance.

    + Ability to maintain and obtain USAF CAC.
