(EBI) was born from humble roots finding a niche in providing specialized welding and fabrication services for critical electrical components. Today, EBI continues to build a legacy exclusively dedicated to delivering high-quality specialty electrical, welding and construction services to medium and high-voltage clients in the power generation, industrial, refinery and data center industries.

EBI’s clients include most of the major power generation companies in the U.S., including over 75% of the domestic nuclear generation fleet. As well as transformer manufacturers, electrical bus duct OEM’s, EPC’s and industrial clientele throughout North America and internationally.

Summary

This position is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of technology systems and business processes across the organization. This role will lead cross-functional efforts to improve operational efficiency, drive innovation through automation, and ensure technology solutions align with company goals. The ideal candidate is both a technical expert and a systems thinker with a passion for continuous improvement. This position is responsible for handling personnel and financial information and must ensure its confidentiality.

Key** **Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Leadership

+ Recommend, develop and execute the organization’s technology roadmap in alignment with strategic objectives.

+ Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to improve productivity and performance.

+ Lead IT infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and software development initiatives.

+ Act as main point of contact for the company’s outsourced IT service provider and other related vendors

+ Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware (including laptops, smart phones, tablets and other associated employee issued devices), software, and other IT systems.

+ Responsible for IT budget recommendations and ensuring alignment with the company’s corporate objectives and financial goals.

Process Optimization & Efficiency

+ Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in workflows and business processes.

+ Design and implement scalable process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

+ Champion automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks.

Cross-Department Collaboration

+ Work with department leads to understand operational needs and implement technical solutions.

+ Serve as a bridge between IT and business units to ensure technology solutions meet functional requirements.

+ Lead cross-functional projects to drive digital transformation and enterprise-wide improvements.

+ Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to recommend and assist with implementing new technologies, tools, and platforms to improve the company’s visibility online as the contractor and employer of choice.

Data-Driven Decision-Making

+ Promote a data-centric culture by implementing tools that support real-time analytics and reporting.

+ Ensure systems integration to support accurate, timely data for decision-making.

+ Security and Compliance

+ Ensuring the organization's data is secure and protected, and that IT operations comply with relevant regulations.

+ Emergent Availability

+ This position requires intermittent availability during weekends, evenings, and early mornings for emergency projects. This does not restrict the use of their time off from work and will only be required to report to work when emergency jobs are prevalent.

Other

+ Apparent or assigned – performs works as apparent or as assigned.

+ Supports the effort of ISO 9001 and process improvement by recommending methods, equipment, techniques, and other changes to improve company operations. Participates in internal audits, risk assessment, and corrective actions as required.

+ Qualifications for Entry:

+ BS/BA in applicable field and/or related experience is required.

+ 8+ years of experience in IT leadership or operational efficiency roles.

+ Proven track record in managing digital transformation, IT operations, and process optimization.

+ Strong understanding of ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, and business intelligence tools.

+ Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies.

+ Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership skills.

+ Two years of supervisory experience preferred.

+ Ability to exercise diplomacy, judgement, and discretion, particularly related to sensitive or confidential information.
