In this position...
We’re seeking a highly skilled technical professional to contribute key expertise to our exceptional automated manufacturing capabilities. You will utilize Vis Plant monitoring software to review automation cycle times, review and follow up on automation projects and installations.
What you'll do...
+ Use OnTrack Plant monitoring software to review faults and cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation projects and installations, and provide maintenance metrics
+ Troubleshoot Siemens PLCs, Automation Servo Drives issues, and other critical inputs to Stamping.
+ Review prints, AutoCAD, interpret, and modify electrical schematics.
+ Update program backups for automation
+ Program new installations for Press Line Automation and conveyor systems
+ Reprogram automation for engineering changes, throughput, and quality improvements
+ Coordinate automation repairs and use Maximo to generate CWOs and 4D’s accordingly
+ Coordinate and plan maintenance actions, including preventive, Planned, and Crisis Maintenance. Ensure all safety standards are met during maintenance activities.
+ Oversee optimization of current production processes. Coach plants in continuous improvement, standardization, and lean concepts
+ Assist plants in addressing equipment downtime issues
+ Develop preventative/predictive maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime
+ Train and educate plant personnel and leadership
+ Provide input on new equipment design and purchase. Support new model/equipment launch as required
+ Assist in quality-related actions that imply machine reliability improvements. Be the point of contact to Plant Engineering, local vendors, and commodity suppliers regarding equipment issues. Issue regular reports on maintenance metrics
+ Support and coach problem-solving activities within the department, mainly focused on Reliability and Maintainability. Coordinate Maintenance Planning and Shutdown Planning actions within the department
+ Support Work Group and Department meetings regarding equipment improvement and JPH actions
+ Participate actively in JPH Roadmap reviews. Provide technical assistance to personnel and areas where necessary.
+ Identify training needs for skilled employees and coordinate a training plan for the department. Work with OnTrack, Maximo, and any other manufacturing-type systems. Coordinate skilled personnel during breakdowns to fix the issue with minimal disturbance to production. Ensure resources are planned during the line breaks.
+ Actively participate in Simultaneous Engineering meetings, Forward Planning, and Product Design to ensure Maintainability standards are followed
+ Work in a shift environment including nights, weekends, and overtime
You'll have...
+ 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
+ 3+ years of experience with PLC logic and control programs
Even better, you may have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls or Automation Engineering
+ Siemens, AB, Beckhoff, Pilz, Square D PLC programming and troubleshooting.
+ Profibus, Profinet, Devicenet, Ethernet, Ethercat, Sercos network knowledge.
+ SEW, Indramat, Siemens, AB drives.
+ Optidex/Keyence/Sick Vision systems
+ Experience in CNC part programming and troubleshooting.
+ Under-hung and gantry crane knowledge.
+ SMG, Schuler, Jier, and Gudel experience preferred.
+ Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing / Stamping environment
+ Stamping Press Automation Transfer and tandem Programming / Teaching
+ A history of working successfully with skilled trades, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma experience
+ 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
+ Prior experience reviewing prints, using AutoCAD, and interpreting and modifying electrical schematics.
+ Demonstrated leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7, and 8.
