CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) Capacity Engineer to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the C5 Enterprise Data Center processes in alignment with USSOUTHCOM and Dept of State Mission Planning Objectives. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of Data Center capabilities across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provides enterprise data center operations services, including engineering advice, technical guidance, and expertise to ensure sufficient capacityremains in the EIE
+ Monitors IT resource usage continuously to enable proactive identification of capacity and performance issues
+ Monitors and controls system disk capacity; notifies the Government when capacity thresholds are breached
+ Supports and maintains a Capacity Management Plan
+ Develops capacity models and tests to validate the Capacity Management Plan
+ Collaborates with the Security Team to implement and maintain security policies and procedures
+ Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
+ Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives
+ Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge
+ May supervise others
Required Qualifications:
+ Must hold an active secret level clearance
+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
+ Minimum 13 years of experience in Data Center managementroles or a mixture of DoD and commercial experience demonstratingexpertise in developing data center solutions.
+ DoD 8140 Intermediatequalification or similar industry standard certification
+ Demonstrates proficiency in capacity management within an enterprise environment.
+ Possesses comprehensive knowledge of IT resource monitoring techniques and proactive identification of performance issues.
+ Exhibits expertise in developing and validatingcapacity models, ensuring alignment with requirements and program/project plans.
+ Demonstrates skill in collaborating with security teams to implement and maintain robust security policies and procedures
+ Proven ability to lead and facilitate meetings with diverse groups of stakeholders
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in a large, distributedIT enterprise
+ Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles
+ ITIL v4 Foundation certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$95,500-$210,100
