    Responsibilities

    + Design of water, wastewater, and reuse treatment facilities

    + Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizes

    + Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards

    + Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments

    + Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the water reuse field

    + Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods

    + Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection

    + Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projects

    + Works closely with subconsultants on projects

    + Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions

    + Travel required when requested

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering

    + 10-15 years of design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design

    + Registration as a Professional Engineer

    + Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards

    + Experience designing treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation

    + Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

    + Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints

    + Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects

    + Proficient in MS Word and Excel

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
