    Job Summary:

    HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team in our main Emergency Department in Fort Pierce and free-standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach.

    Qualified Candidates

    + Must be board certified or board eligible thru the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)

    + Must have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

    + Must have completed an EM Residency and Board Certified within 5 years

    + Covers Vero Beach FSED 2-3 times a month mixed in with schedule at main ED

    Emergency Department Profile

    + Level II Trauma Center

    + 100,000 ED visits per year

    + 42-bed ED including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds

    + 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric

    + 2.0 pph

    + 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED incl)

    + 60 hours of APP coverage

    + 26% admission rate

    + Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane

    + Interventional cardiac cath

    + Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability

    + Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound

    + 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists

    + No floor code or consult responsibilities
