    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to support one of our largest data center clients. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical trade school education in mechanical, electrical, or electronics. Preferred certifications include EPA, OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, NFPA-70E (Arc Flash), and Data Center University. The technician must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC related roles. Key responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems supporting the servers within the data center, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with vendors and contractors.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    2+ years of experience in HVAC (commercial or residential)

     

    Proficiency with multimeters

     

    Experience installing HVAC systems (troubleshooting experience is a plus)

     

    Proven ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems

     

    Experience handling service calls

    Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, including:

    Electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear

     

    UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units

     

    Breakers, batteries, load bank connections

     

    CRACs, air handling units, fluid coolers, pumps, cages

     

    Fire suppression systems - Experience in a data center environment

    - Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems null
