Job Description

Design and implement reliable, observable, and scalable infrastructure for the companys central data platform.

Build and maintain automation, self-healing tools, and monitoring frameworks to support real-time data processing systems.

Establish and enforce robust SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs in partnership with service and platform owners.

Design telemetry pipelines and dashboards using industry-standard observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Honeycomb, etc.).

Own and optimize DORA metrics: ensuring fast, safe, and sustainable delivery of platform changes.

Lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts; mentor teams in blameless postmortems and continuous improvement.

Develop CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code for reliable, versioned deployment of platform services (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK).

Write high-quality, testable code and provide technical leadership through code reviews and architecture discussions.

Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and platform architects to deliver resilient systems that handle petabyte-scale data pipelines.

Skills and Requirements

Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and OOP

Object-Oriented Programming: Apply OOP principles to create maintainable and scalable code

Familiarity with infrastructure as code (small amount of Terraform the rest is CDK and CloudFormation)

DevOps Practices: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines

Observability Tools: Datadog

Performance Tuning: Optimize system performance and conduct tracing null
