Himalayan Pet Supply is accepting applications for Sanitation Tech for our Night Shift. We are looking for someone who is willing to work for a small (but rapidly growing) company. About the company:

Himalayan Pet Supply began in 2003 with two brothers, a friend and his dog, Kaos. Kaos discovered ‘churpi’ and he loved it!

We spent the next four years re-engineering the people-grade cheese to make it lactose free and safe for dogs. In 2007, we launched our new dog chew at a small pet fair in Bellingham, Washington creating a new category in the industry, thus changing the dog chew class significantly.

By 2016, we became a leader in the industry as we expanded out into other pet categories, transforming our company from a single product oriented business to a pet supply company. We now offer retailers not just a single chew, but treats, toys and gear as well. We’ve set our sights on outfitting your whole pack and becoming the top most trusted brand pet in the pet industry.

Shift is Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am

+ OVERTIME AVAILABLE

+ $18/HR STARTING WAGE

We are looking for the following qualifications in an applicant:

+ Must be able to contently lift up to 75 pounds by yourself

+ Must be able to stand, bend, reach and move heavy things for the duration of shift

+ At the least, able to understand directions given in English and able to respond accordingly

+ Ability to read and interpret work specifications

+ Able to use box cutter when necessary

+ Basic Math skills: ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of measurement and quantity measurements.

+ Must know how to use a scale, know the mass unit such as ounces, pounds, and grams for measuring our cheese products

+ Must have good attendance and be able to show up on time for your shift. The shift will be Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am

Essential Duties:

+ Responsible for the daily cleaning of raw and finished goods processing and packaging departments

+ Meet company and Government regulated specifications by cleaning and sanitizing machines to ensure that morning production crews can start on time. This may include tasks such as prioritizing, planning and moving quickly and steadily through sanitation duties

+ Spray machine parts and equipment with cleaners, sanitizers and hoses

+ Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing

+ Pre-soak or rinse machine parts or equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually

+ Turn valves or handles on equipment in order to regulate pressure and flow of water, air, steam, or abrasives from sprayer nozzles

+ Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations

+ Responsible for performing job duties in compliance with all GMP’s and following all company safety standards
