    Assistant Forensic Supportive Housing Supervisor - Office of Mental Health (OMH)

     

    Full-time: Monday-Friday 3-11pm

     

    Salary: $27.81 hour

    The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a leading not-for-profit located in Nassau County. CEC assists adults diagnosed with mental illness in reaching the highest level of independence with the freedom to ASPIRE HIGHER in their hopes, dreams and accomplishments.

     

    We are seeking an experienced full-time Assistant Forensic Supportive Housing Supervisor to assist the Housing Supervisor in the day-to-day program management and recipient care who have a variety of criminogenic, social, and psychiatric needs.

    In this role as Assistant Forensic Supportive Housing Supervisor, you will:

    + Provide individual and group counseling services.

    + Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, restorative services, assistance in negotiating community activities and crisis management services.

    + Monitor, train and assist residents in all programs in household maintenance activities to ensure a clean, safe and homelike environment. Directly participate in household maintenance activities when required.

    + Provide training, supervision and assistance to residents in daily activities including food purchases, recreational activities, and meal planning and personal care activities.

    + Assist residents in developing meaningful service plan goals and provide supports to assist residents in achieving their goals.

    + Document interactions with residents in accordance with agency policies and standards.

    + Meet weekly, or as scheduled, with assigned primary residents for counseling and to establish and review service plan goals.

    We require:

    + High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in human services, special education, or related field preferred.

    + Experience working with forensic population preferred.

    + Must have a New York driver’s license and clean driving record.
