We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Menlo Park. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting organizational goals. Responsibilities:

• Handle full-cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

• Assist with general ledger (GL) maintenance and month-end close activities to support accurate financial reporting.

• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries to maintain financial accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

• Support the adoption and use of new financial systems, including Vericose, with a willingness to learn and adapt.

• Provide clear and precise communication with internal and external stakeholders.

• Contribute to financial audits and help maintain accurate documentation of transactions.

• Assist in analyzing financial data to provide insights that support decision-making.

• Work on special projects and other accounting tasks as assigned.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Familiarity with general ledger (GL) accounting and month-end close procedures.

• Proficiency in accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, or Blackbaud.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.

• Ability to learn and adapt to new financial systems quickly.

• Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus but not required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
