We’re currently seeking a Payroll Associate to support and process payroll for our dynamic and diverse unionized workforce. What You’ll Do:

As a Payroll Associate, you will be responsible for processing payroll changes and supporting union payroll operations using Ceridian Dayforce. You’ll be the first level of response for payroll and HR-related inquiries through our online ticketing system and will contribute to process improvements and strategic initiatives across the organization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Process employee updates in Ceridian Dayforce (transfers, rate changes, tax updates, address changes, etc.)

• Manage wage garnishments, including child support, tax levies, and income executions

• Run and distribute reports on a regular schedule to internal teams and union offices

• Audit employee data in the system to ensure accuracy and completeness

• File and archive payroll documentation in compliance with retention policies

• Assist with union billing processes

• Conduct prevailing wage analysis as required by union contracts and compliance standards

• Understand and apply 401(k) compliance and plan details

• Provide payroll support coverage as needed

• Maintain knowledge of federal/state payroll laws and collective bargaining agreements

• Participate in internal audits and team-based projects

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll operations

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

• 2–3 years of relevant payroll experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels

• Familiarity with wage, hour, and tax regulations

• Ability to handle confidential data with integrity

• Analytical problem-solving skills and a team-first attitude

Preferred:

• Spanish fluency (a portion of our employees are Spanish-speaking only)

• Bachelor’s degree or payroll certification (e.g., FPC/CPP)

• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce

• Knowledge of union environments and year-end payroll processes
