Description
International company has a permanent opportunity for a Logistics Manager for a brand new facility located near Huntly, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be excited to be part of a start-up operations. The individual will ensure compliance with regulations related to occupational safety, hygiene, health, environmental protection, and quality standards. The function also ensures the security of inventory, processes, and quality (e.g., meeting delivery deadlines and guaranteeing agreed-upon quality). It aims to achieve optimal cost efficiency, motivate employees, and strengthen their commitment to the company. Furthermore, it ensures the economic use of machinery, equipment, and technical facilities, as well as improving operational warehouse processes.

Responsibilities:
+ Leadership, motivation, and development of employees in the warehouse and logistics areas
+ Implementation of labor law measures
+ Hiring, transferring, and dismissing employees in subordinate areas
+ Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards
+ Ensuring the necessary qualifications of subordinate employees, initiating and following up on training measures
+ Planning and managing operational processes along the supply chain
+ Responsibility for the property and equipment of the warehouse site, overseeing operational readiness, and commissioning and ensuring related maintenance and repair work
+ Monitoring and managing inventory, as well as responsibility for inventory audits
+ Implementing and optimizing logistics strategies to increase efficiency
+ Responsibility for the site budget, cost, and revenue control and optimization
+ Communication and collaboration with internal departments, customers, and external partners
+ Analyzing KPIs and deriving actions for continuous improvement
+ Implementation and monitoring of the company's goals set by the board and management
+ Creating invoices and invoice attachments
+ The position holder has access to "confidential documents agreed with the commercial management" required to fulfill their tasks.

Requirements
Professional Experience (in years)
+ 5+ years (professional experience in a leadership position in logistics or automotive, metalworking, etc.)
+ Innovative, constructive, and implementation-oriented mindset
+ Systematic, precise, and accurate work approach
+ Strong understanding of processes
+ Loyal, reliable, trustworthy, discreet, and innovative
+ Exemplary conduct towards employees and customers
+ Ability and willingness to familiarize oneself with new areas of expertise and consistently keep knowledge up to date

+ Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge, Expertise and Skills
+ In-depth knowledge in the areas of warehouse management, transportation, and supply chain management, ideally with an interest in technical products and machinery
+ Leadership experience as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
+ Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities
+ Experience with warehouse management and ERP systems
+ High level of initiative, assertiveness, and sense of responsibility
+ Proficiency in MS Office and common logistics software solutions
+ Knowledge of Lean Management or process optimization
