Primary Job Duties
This position reports to the Maintenance Department Safety Manager and assists with the implementation and day to day workings of SMS for the Maintenance Department. This person interfaces with the Safety Coordinators for the other Departments within SkyWest to include but not be limited to: Flight Operations, Inflight, Customer Service and SkyWest Safety Department.
+ Facilitating the risk management process within the Maintenance Department
+ Maintaining an electronic database for the tracking of risk analyses
+ Performing process measurements of safety outputs
+ Analyze the results of in process audits
+ Perform System Task Analysis
+ Review Maintenance process using the mapping system
+ Identify potential safety hazards
+ Perform Risk Assessments
+ Track, trend, and report on Safety Risk Management Outputs
+ Facilitate SMS Management Meetings within Maintenance
+ Prepare, attend, and report to SMS Management Meetings within Maintenance and the Company
+ Represent the Maintenance Department in cross departmental safety meetings
+ Keep the SMS database current with reports, data collected, action items, etc.
Minimum Requirements
+ Familiarity with SkyWest Maintenance GMM preferred
+ Be familiar with Operations Specifications and applicable CFR’s
+ Be familiar with Risk Management/Analysis, Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis
+ Auditing experience
+ Maintenance SkyTrack knowledge preferred
+ Strong communication skills (oral and written)
+ Excellent organizational skills
+ Ability to develop and conduct group meetings
+ Possess strong technical writing skills
+ SMS knowledge/experience
