    Description

    FOOD SAFETY MONITOR

    Responsibilities:

    + Monitor operations in the plant for any potential food safety hazards, such as, condensation, product contamination, employee hygiene, condition of departments, etc.

    + Communicate with USDA and help resolve food safety concerns

    + Be familiar with audit process, compliance, customer and USDA expectations for the facility and our products

    + Be familiar with written plans and HACCP

    + Lead the Cold Side QA Team when supervisor is not present

    + Lead and attend product shows and communicate results to management

    + Assist with product specification concerns

    + Complete necessary reports concerning food safety and HACCP requirements for the facility.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications: Education

    + Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalency

    + Strong computer skills

    + Industry experience preferred

    + Good written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to work independently without constant supervision

    + Attention to detail

    + Able to work in both hot and cold temperatures

    + Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
