Position Summary:
As the Executive Housekeeper for our AAA Four Diamond Hotel, you will oversee all aspects of housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction are consistently maintained. The incumbent will lead and inspire a team of housekeeping and laundry Team Members, setting the standard for excellence in service delivery and attention to detail. This role requires effective leadership skills, creativity, great attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.

In this Role:
+ Lead, manage, and inspire a team of housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring they adhere to rigorous standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
+ Provide guidance, training, and support to uphold performance excellence.
+ Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
+ Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures to guarantee all guest rooms, suites, and public areas meet or exceed AAA Four Diamond standards.
+ Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistent adherence to cleanliness protocols.
+ Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, amenities, opening and closing procedures, and staff scheduling.
+ Maintain efficient stock levels while adhering to budgetary constraints.
+ Ensure the Laundry department is operating efficiently, meeting productivity goals while providing quality linen products.
+ Implement and enforce health and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
+ Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
+ Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
+ Prioritize guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any housekeeping-related concerns or requests.
+ Foster a culture of exceptional service delivery among housekeeping staff, ensuring guests experience unparalleled comfort and satisfaction during their stay.
+ Interact with guests to ensure an outstanding experience and promptly address any concerns or feedback.
+ Ensure Team Members’ compliance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures in accordance with Gun Lake Casino Resort’s Core Values (The 7 Grandfather Teachings), while maintaining AAA 4-Diamond service standards.
+ Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are met throughout the property.
+ Maintain open and effective communication with the Housekeeping Supervisors and Inspectors.
+ Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure guests and property opportunities are addressed timely and efficiently.
+ Ensure the daily regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and orderliness, in compliance with Gun Lake Casino Resort’s and AAA Four Diamond standards.
+ Handle guest opportunities and resolve conflicts with professionalism and diplomacy.
+ Work closely with the marketing team to ensure guest in-room promotion materials are current and maintain proper inventory.
+ Ensure in-room marketing materials are accurate and placed/replaced timely.
+ Collaborate with Director of Hotel Operations to develop and manage the housekeeping department budget effectively.
+ Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation without compromising quality or service standards.
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including OSHA and CDC guidelines.
+ Implement and maintain effective protocols for the handling of hazardous materials, waste disposal, and infection prevention.
+ Collaborate with the Hotel Front Desk team to understand guest preferences, special room requests, receive feedback, and adjust to enhance the overall guest stay experience.
+ Evaluate, oversee, and provide coaching opportunities regarding job performance of Team Members.
+ Develops and implements annual plans to drive continuous improvements in Team Member Engagement and Guest Satisfaction while achieving annual targeted retention levels for the department.
+ All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
+ Must be 21+ years of age.
+ Four (4) years of proven experience in a senior housekeeping role within an upscale or luxury hotel or hotel casino resort environment required.
+ Three (3) years as a manager having full P&L responsibility required.
+ Two (2) years of experience in a AAA Four Diamond resort or casino environment required. Relevant experience in a full-service upscale hotel may be considered in lieu of AAA Four Diamond experience.
+ Highschool Diploma or GED Required.
+ Degree or certification in hospitality management or related field preferred.
+ Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
+ Proficiency in Versa, housekeeping management software, and MS Office preferred.
+ Ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word, talk with guests or Team Members, and listen well.
+ Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English.
+ Availability and willingness to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, Team Members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
+ Ability to address stressful situations with clients with dignity, tact, and politeness.
+ Must be able to work with others, communicate well, and receive direction when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
Physical Requirements:
+ Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
+ Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
+ Ability to climb, bend, reach, walk, and stand for the duration of the shift.
+ Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
+ Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs with or without assistance.
+ Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and hearing.
+ Ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in a small area with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and guests.
