Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to spearhead automation projects within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role involves developing automation requirements, creating business proposals, and managing vendors through the design, build, and qualification processes.

Responsibilities

+ Develop requirements for automation.

+ Create business proposals to justify the cost of new automation.

+ Conduct vendor bid analysis and manage vendors during the design, build, and qualification processes.

+ Ensure compliance with FDA requirements.

+ Qualify new equipment and modify PLC programs.

+ Collaborate with internal teams and manage high-volume automation projects.

Essential Skills

+ 7-12 years of experience managing automation projects in high-volume manufacturing environments.

+ Proficiency in PLC programming and mechanical skills.

+ Strong vendor management experience.

+ Understanding of FDA requirements.

+ Experience in qualifying new equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not necessary.

+ Experience in industries such as Medical Device, Pharma, or Bio is advantageous.

+ Familiarity with CAD, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

+ Strong project management skills and the ability to mediate and communicate effectively with vendors and engineers.

Work Environment

Our team includes a maintenance supervisor, six maintenance technicians, a couple of engineers, and facilities services people. We have around 180 people on site across three buildings, soon to be consolidated to two buildings. Enjoy the close-knit atmosphere of a small company, with the backing of a large Japanese conglomerate, providing a family-like feel and appreciated flexibility. The work involves 20% on-the-floor activities and 80% in justifying, designing, documenting, and working with vendors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $74.00/hr.
