    Description

    + Participate in the marketing efforts of the company.

    + Monitor and maintain relationships with owners and architects.

    + Assist the estimating department with preconstruction planning.

    + Monitor plan design development, conduct plan reviews, and perform constructability reviews.

    + Oversee plan distribution, subcontractor coverage, bid schedules, permit procurement, scope coverage, staffing requirements, and General Conditions.

    + Assist the safety department in implementing and managing the overall safety program.

    + Support the Executive VPs/Risk Manager with claims management.

    + Ensure adherence to company procedures during the construction process, including long lead analysis, start-up paperwork (contracts, shop drawings, submittals), documentation and notifications (extras, back charges, supplementation), budget maintenance, safety measures and environmental controls, field paperwork monitoring, cash flow monitoring, timely change order process, punch list completion, and close-out package submission.

    + Review and familiarize the project team with owner contract provisions.

    + Collaborate with the Project Manager on buyout, margin analysis reports, subcontract Exhibit A - Scope of Work, and subcontractor changes.

    + Review the master schedule with the Superintendent and Project Manager.

    + Evaluate hiring and dismissal of company employees, including Project Engineers, Project Assistants, Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, Carpenters, and Laborers.

    + Conduct annual performance reviews for bonus and salary adjustments.

    + Assist with recruiting efforts, including career fairs and college recruitment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 10+ years of diverse experience from the field and as a project manager in Commercial Construction – Major Markets we work in include: Multi-Family, Hospitality, Mixed-Use and General Commercial.

    + Bachelor’s Degree (Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management and/or Business preferred)

    + Software program experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project scheduling, Bluebeam, Plangrid, Procore or similar management software.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $72.11/hr.
