    Job Title: Inventory Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain accurate records of all inventory activities. This role involves ensuring efficient processing of shipments, conducting regular stock checks, and collaborating with various departments to enhance inventory management.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing items, including quantity, location, and condition.

    + Receive, unpack, and verify shipments, label and store items, and update inventory records.

    + Regularly check stock levels, perform cycle counts, and reconcile any discrepancies.

    + Monitor stock levels and initiate reorder requests to maintain optimal inventory levels.

    + Assist with loading trucks, staging orders, and processing warehouse tasks.

    + Utilize computer systems and software to manage inventory, generate reports, and track data.

    + Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate forecasts, resolve inventory issues, and improve overall inventory management.

    Essential Skills

    + Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and preventing discrepancies.

    + Strong organizational skills to maintain an organized workspace and inventory system.

    + Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting items during inventory tasks.

    + Basic math skills for calculating quantities and verifying shipments.

    + Familiarity with inventory management software and computer systems.

    + Effective communication skills for interacting with employees, customers, and vendors.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with SAP, ERP, RF scanner, and supply chain management.

    + Knowledge of SQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, and transportation management systems.

    + Proficiency in Excel data entry, Google Sheets, and logistics.

    + Experience in warehouse inventory, shipping, receiving, and production.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean warehouse environment with no extreme temperatures. The standard working hours are from 6:50 am to 4:00 pm. Employees can start as early as 6:30 am or 7:00 am in the new facility, allowing for an earlier end to the workday at 3:30 pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Asheville, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
