Construction Laborer
Job Description
Laborers will be assigned to work on either the new construction or repair crew. New construction will involve waterproofing standing foundations and footings, applying coatings to prevent erosion and leaks, and installing drain systems to maintain structural integrity. The repair crew will visit finished commercial or residential construction sites to identify and fix leaks. This involves digging with a shovel to expose problem areas and removing broken concrete in buckets. Laborers will be assigned to either crew as needed, engaging in labor-intensive work.
Responsibilities
+ Perform waterproofing on foundations and footings in new construction projects.
+ Apply coatings to prevent erosion and leaks.
+ Install drainage systems to protect the structural integrity of buildings.
+ Identify and repair leaks at finished commercial and residential construction sites.
+ Dig with a shovel to expose problem areas.
+ Haul broken concrete using buckets.
+ Work on assigned crew based on project needs.
Essential Skills
+ General labor experience in construction.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
+ Concrete handling and demolition skills.
+ Ability to lift and carry 50-75 lbs consistently.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ 6+ months of physical labor experience in construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in waterproofing and foundation repair is highly considered.

Work Environment
Work in indoor and outdoor construction environments, facing hot conditions in summer and cold conditions in winter. Tasks will involve working in mud, dirt, and around concrete.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
