    The primary effort of this position is program assistance in the delivery of the bay scallop restoration project. The role involves assisting with fieldwork, data collection, entry, and analysis, as well as participating in bay scallop cultivation activities. This position operates under direct supervision, with limited independence, and focuses on program support as part of a team.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + Basic math skills.

    + Strong teamwork abilities.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Capability to work on the water for extended periods.

    + Commitment to embracing diversity in all interactions with clientele, staff, volunteers, and the public.

    + Ability to meet acceptable background check standards.

    + Proficiency, or willingness to learn, timecard software.

    + Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks and make minor decisions.

    + Positive and professional attitude.

    + Capacity to handle multiple tasks.

    + Enthusiasm and commitment to the mission of CCE.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

    + Experience in boat repair and working in fabrication shops.

    + Understanding of the organization, operation, philosophy, and objectives of Cooperative Extension.

    + POSITION DETAILS:

     

    Salary: $18 - 20 per hour

     

    Schedule: NONEXEMPT – TEMP: May 16, 2025 – October 29, 2025

     

    No relocation or VISA Sponsorship available
