GIS Analyst- On site
POWER Engineers, Inc., through its Environmental Division, provides planning, permitting, engineering, site assessment, and corrective action services to clients worldwide. POWER Engineers is seeking a GIS Analysts to join our Mapping & Analysis team in our Phoenix, AZ, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, or Boise, ID office locations.
This position will be on site within any of the covered states listed above.
Roles and Responsibilities
This position provides GIS mapping and analysis support for environmental planning, permitting, and construction projects throughout the Western US. Candidate should be a self-starter with the desire and ability to take the lead on projects and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The GIS Analyst will provide support for projects including:
+ Project-based task management
+ Project coordination as it pertains to performing project tasks
+ Data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting
+ Data management and documentation
+ Cartographic design and map production
+ Web and mobile field surveys
+ Quality assurance and control
Required Education/Experience
+ Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Resource Management, or a related field with a specialization in GIS
+ Five (5) + experience in environmental consulting
+ Five (5) + professional experience using Esri GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, Survey123, ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal)
+ General awareness of AutoCAD, Python, Visual Basic, Arcade, or SQL Programming
+ Presentation-quality cartographic skills (portfolio examples are welcome)
+ Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical staff/management
+ Strong general computer skills (troubleshooting/problem-solving)
+ Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
+ Strong attention to detail

Base Salary Range: $65K-$75K per year
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
