ITS Technician & Traffic System Supervisor
A Traffic Signal or ITS technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and/or repair of ITS and traffic signal systems and troubleshooting.Might also assist with the development of traffic studies and design plans such as for ITS infrastructure
Job Type: Full-Time +, Non-Exempt

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
+ Troubleshoot ITS and traffic signal equipment and make recommendations to repair or resolve any issues in each system.
+ Maintenance of spare equipment and parts, including inventory management and documentation.
+ Oversee Relevant technology including CCTV systems, dynamic message signs, travel time readers, vehicle detection systems, and fiber optics and wireless systems.
+ Ensure that traffic signal installation and related activities are conducted in compliance with applicable traffic control device regulations, standards, and specifications.
+ Report to General Foreperson any issues involving maintenance of truck or equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Must be 18 years of age or older.
+ Knowledgeable in Traffic Control Devices (as it relates to ITS) and Electrical Trade
+ Ability to operate relevant Equipment/Machinery required to complete work assignments
+ Must have the ability to work in a bucket or platform truck/device
+ Must be able to read blueprints/plans and construct as per plans
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
+ Ability to read/interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, etc.
+ Works well on a team.
+ Ability to collect, enter, or analyze data.
+ Must be willing to obtain a Class "A" or "B" driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of hire.
+ Able and willing to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call-out work.
+ Skills include:

Education & Experience:
+ Must hold a valid TRF 450 Roadway Illumination Electrical Installations or TRF 453.
+ 3+ years experience in relatable field.
+ Bachelors/Associates degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
+ Experience in DOT ITS infrastructure
+ ITS Technology/Operations
+ Management of Labor, Tools, or Materials
+ Manual Labor/Physical Requirements and Constraints
+ Local Agency Procedures/Standard Design Principles
+ MUTCD (as applicable)
Pre-Screen:
+ Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
+ A driver's license is required.
+ A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
Travel Requirements:
Must be willing to travel within the State of Texas as needed, overnight or out-of-town stay may be required up to 2 weeks as needed.

+ **CONTINUOUS** (up to 100%): Standing, Sense of Touch, Gripping, Seeing, Reaching, range-of-motion, Depth Perception, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., Climbing
