    The Senior Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing the procurement processes within Valcor Engineering. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high-quality standards. The Senior Procurement Manager will lead a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency. Additionally, this role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Ultimately, the Senior Procurement Manager will contribute significantly to the company's profitability and operational success through effective supply chain management.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives for industrial and aerospace-grade materials, components, and systems (e.g., steel alloys, titanium, aluminum, and composites).

    + Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, providing guidance and support in their daily activities to achieve a culture of continuous improvement and lean procurement.

    + Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

    + Expansion of existing supply chain by leveraging current vendor capabilities, identifying deficits, contingency plans, dual-sourcing strategies and onboarding of new suppliers certified to aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) as required.

    + Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing.

    + Monitor and report on procurement KPIs and savings achievements to drive improvement.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, program management and finance, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

    + Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and certifications (e.g., ITAR, FAR/DFARS, EAR).

    Skills:

    + Strong analytical abilities, to evaluate supplier performance and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.

    + Understanding of technical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes to assess supplier capability, drive cost and lead time reductions

    + Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts and pricing, directly impacting the company's bottom line.

    + Leadership skills for managing, mentoring and developing a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

    + Effective communication skills for building relationships with suppliers and collaborating with internal teams.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

    + A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

    + Proven track record of successful negotiation and supplier management.

    + US Person status required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.

    + Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).

    + Experience with ERP, MRP systems and procurement software. (Epicor preferred)

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
