Our **Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)** is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

As an **Inventory Analyst** , you will support to achieve the client's inventory/customer service objectives in a manner consistent with PSLD objectives. You will be expected to understand the Records Accuracy Management (RAM) processes in Service Parts Management (SPM) and Inbound Material Receiving process at the warehouse level. You will be responsible for managing processes to ensure that Cat Parts Division inventory accuracy levels are maintained and improved. You will be involved in training client personnel at different levels including management, salaried, and hourly on processes associated with inventory record accuracy and their importance in overall supply chain management.

What You Will Do:

+ Determine audit needs in support of record accuracy goals

+ Resolve stock record discrepancies by extensive analysis of current and historical data from multiple systems

+ Interpret various types of transactions to ensure correct record adjustments

+ Process high value inventory adjustments and co-ordinate with process partners

+ Investigate and resolve shipment claims

+ Analyze production issues and resolve them on a front-line basis.

+ Lead and co-ordinate workload for support staff based on the day-to-day workload

+ Document detailed instructions to correct inventory record adjustments

+ Develop automated processes to aid data cleansing and maintenance using analytical tools

+ Develop and test new reporting tools, following standards and best practices

What You Have (Basic Requirements):

+ **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

+ **Problem Solving:** Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

+ **Data Gathering and Reporting:** Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.

+ **Data Visualization:** Knowledge of principles, techniques and processes of data visualization; ability to create high quality figures effectively for various business scenarios and storytelling.

+ **Inventory Management:** Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.

+ Thorough knowledge in various purchasing, parts ordering, and inventory management systems

+ Experience with SAP Platform

+ Previous experience collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams

Summary Pay Range:

$79,800.00 - $119,760.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
