GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE** **FUNCTION

To provide assessment and assist individuals desiring to improve their opportunities in the workforce. To provide student services as it relates to student assessment products including but not limited to ASE, AED, and NCRC-WorkKeys as well as assist students with workforce preparation. Provide assistance to career and technical education students: counseling, admissions, and testing. Assist in CTE reporting and documentation. Have proficiency in administration and interpretation of basic skills and credentialing assessment instruments.

EDUCATION AND/OR** **EXPERIENCE
Required: Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with attention to details. Ability to organize and compile testing data and generate reports upon request. Excellent office management, classroom management, and computer skills.
Preferred: Master’s degree with experience in counseling and or student support. Extensive computer knowledge and experience sufficient to operate the College software system and other computer programs. Preferred experience in post-secondary academic and/or career technical counseling. Strong knowledge of administering college placement test, interpretation of scores, and student workforce readiness/academic transfer.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** , include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
Promote recruitment, enrollment and placement activities for special populations students.
Serve as a resource for faculty regarding student issues.
Serve as a CTE registration contact person.
Serve on assigned college committees and participate in various college-sponsored activities.
Provide written correspondence for students needing or requesting information.
Provide advisement and/or counseling to students who are on probation or who are identified as potential probationary students.
Conduct interviews with students who are completely withdrawing from college.
Provide a variety of services, which will assist students in career exploration, planning, and graduation or educational goal attainment. Disseminate occupational information to students.
Assist in submitting and documenting report for Carl Perkins
Provide an environment conducive for testing. Proctor, monitor and administer assessments for candidates.
Assist students in the use of technology for assessment purposes.
Coordinate the input of scores into the college data system.
Complete timely monthly reporting assessments.
Maintain a clean classroom and lab.
Evaluate student performance and learning. Maintain attendance records.
Provide excellent facilitation and classroom management skills. Provide regular and timely feedback to students and administration.
Demonstrate proficiency in technology; including experience using a learning management system.
Work a minimum of 35 hours each week.
