Full-Time / 8:00am-5:00pm
The General IT Programmer/Analyst Sr is responsible for complex workflow development, system configuration and development, innovative application deployment and support including on-call. The individual will anticipate business needs and think with a business owner mind-set based on an advanced knowledge of the system and the organizational infrastructure to recommend solutions that enable the enterprise to achieve its goals. These responsibilities require the individual to be a knowledge leader for their systems and/or applications. Delivers results and solutions across multiple teams for the enterprise.
Essential Duties & Functions:
1. Responsible for the processing and implementation of approved change requests within established service level agreements.
2. Responds to assigned system incidents within the defined standards, providing support and assistance to all users to correct and avoid recurrence of problems.
3. Works as a team member or team leader on projects. Dimensions of project assignments range from simple stand-alone applications to large projects. Provides estimates for complex work efforts. Provides system design documentation, procedures, process and data flows, and may provide recommendations for system enhancements and replacements.
4. Provides back-up assistance to other team members. Leads and mentor’s other programmer analysts in the development, implementation, and problem resolution of an application. This is accomplished through planning, scheduling, assigning, coordinating, and reviewing tasks performed by team members. May provide input to the yearly performance evaluation of staff.
5. Working independently with minimal supervision, manages competing prioritizes, delivers and meets organizational goals.
6. Understands and promotes the Premier Health IT policies, procedures and practices, especially related to change management, incident handling and service level agreements.
7. Demonstrates progressive growth in capability, productivity, and delivery during tenure in the position.
8. Typical work hours are M-F 8am-5pm and may vary based operational need. May also be required to participate in a 24 x 7 on-call support rotation to meet the critical clinical and business needs of the organization.
9. Accountable to deliver solutions that are cost-effective, secure and produce excellent quality and customer satisfaction.
10. Evaluates software and hardware products and make recommendations for improving operations or processes.
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree
Additional requirements:
• Type of degree: Associate Degree in IT or related field with 6+years job experience required. Or Bachelor Degree in IT or related field with 4+ years job experience required.
• Area of study or major: Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
• Project Management Certification is preferred
• For Clarity Team position - Certification in at least one Epic Clarity data model required for hire into this position. Must maintain certification to remain qualified for this position.
• For Interface Team position - Certification in EPIC Bridges required for hire into this position. Must maintain certification to remain qualified for this position. Certification in Rhapsody (beginner’s) within 6 months of hire.
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience

• Demonstrates specialized knowledge of and expertise in: relevant computer systems, applications and interfaces. Delivers solution sets for systems and application problems.
• Demonstrates proficiency in all skills required to facilitate application and systems enhancements or replacements.
• Analyzes and resolves highly complex system integration problems.
• Evaluates software and hardware products and make recommendations for improving operations or processes.
• Demonstrates an expert understanding of clinical and/or business operations.
• Communicates effectively with users, colleagues, developers, and organizational administration.
• Demonstrates excellent analytical skills.
• Collaborates with cross-functional work teams with minimal supervision.
• Possesses knowledge and skill required to lead complex projects, including system design documentation, procedures, process and data flows, and provide recommendations for system enhancements and replacements.
• Demonstrates advanced interpersonal skills to effectively interface with department leadership and staff, physicians, vendors, and consultants. Able to effectively communicate technical subjects to non-technical customers.
