The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodulation Division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
Project Management:
+ Plan and conduct assigned projects. Develop schedules (with metrics if required) and seek concurrence from stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with the business and other functions to support implementation of global product stewardship strategy under direction of others and reports to management with appropriate frequency.
+ Coordinate and monitor activities/projects.
Technical:
+ Apply technical knowledge/skills to Product Stewardship programs and systems. Benchmark internally across the organization.
+ Prepare and communicate recommendations and action plans.
+ Participate and/or assist other professionals and management in the application of standard Product Stewardship theories, concepts, and techniques.
Problem Solving:
+ Apply standard Product Stewardship principles and methodologies to identify problems/recommend solutions.
+ Improve methods/designs/processes.
+ Understand regulatory and operational needs.
+ Analyze patterns/trends, interpret data, and make recommendations.
Organizational Interface:
+ Establish contacts with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals.
+ Prepare written communication.
+ Convey information effectively through formal and informal documents and meetings with team members internal to Abbott, using appropriate communication protocols, e.g. conducts reviews; provides audience targeted content; prepares project summaries.
+ Contribute willingly and incorporate the ideas of others; shares resources, knowledge, and accountability to benefit the objectives of the business, understand own limitations.
+ Establish and build relationships, good communication and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
+ Initiate and cultivate open, professional relationships with stakeholders by establishing rapport, developing an understanding of others’ needs, promoting common goals, and following through on commitments
Compliance:
+ Support compliance and assure conformance with all applicable regulations and internal standards such as REACH, RoHS, POPS, TSCA, Prop 65 and BPR. Assist in the identification of potential Product Stewardship risks and consequences of new and modified processes/systems/regulations and takes appropriate action.
+ Support the Product Stewardship Strategy.
+ Assist with the monitoring of new/ amended Product Stewardship Regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain procedures.
+ Coordinate with support personnel to conduct Product Stewardship assessments.
+ Perform tasks such as assisting in the completion of Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCEs), Product Stewardship checklists, project scope documents, risk assessments, etc.
+ Assist in the resolution of Product Stewardship problems.
+ Provide product stewardship and applicable regulatory training.
+ Maintain product bill of material, product composition, and regulatory information.
Accountability / Scope:
+ Work under general supervision who reviews results for overall accuracy, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment.
+ Identify and quantify technical risks and consequences and recommend appropriate action.
+ Drive functional performance that ensure the highest standards in Product Stewardship compliance are met.
Required Qualifications
+ A Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Chemistry, Engineering, other science, or closely related discipline such as Regulatory Affairs is desired; or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 2+ years of relevant experience.
+ Additional post-graduate education may contribute towards the desired years of experience.
+ Professional certification(s) desirable.

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
