    The New York City Mayor’s Office is responsible for overseeing city services throughout the five

    boroughs, coordinating public agencies and departments, and managing public property. New York

    The Team You’ll Work With

    The Mayor’s Office of Creative Communications team is responsible for generating digital content

    representative of mayoral policy and its impact on everyday New Yorkers. The team utilizes social

     

    media to communicate the unique voice of the administration through live coverage, official photos,

     

    videos, graphics, and more.

     

    The Problems You’ll Solve

    Primary responsibilities include overseeing the following: Videography, pre- and post-production

    editing, and production. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

     

    - Serving as a video producer in the Mayor's Office of Creative Communications.

     

    - Managing the shooting, production, writing, and editing of high-quality videos for public

     

    information releases.

     

    - Coordinating the intersections of multimedia projects and leading information sharing and

     

    communications efforts with compelling video stories that help people understand policies,

     

    projects, and initiatives.

     

    - Pitch and create compelling video content, from start to finish.

     

    - Edit video content for multiple platforms and channels.

     

    - Lead video shoots with high-ranking principals.

     

    - Manage equipment and support the Director in managing the team.

     

    - Provide on-the-ground video and photo coverage of live events.

     

    - Videography; pre- and post-production editing.

     

    About You

     

    - You have a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with 24 credits in English,

     

    journalism, or public relations, plus 4 -6 years of full-time paid experience in public relations,

     

    journalism, or advertising, including two (2) years in an administrative, supervisory, or

     

    consultative capacity.

    Qualifications

    1. Do you have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university?

    2. Do you have an associate degree from an accredited college or university along with two (2) years of experience with administrative, analytic, coordinative, supervisory or liaison responsibilities?

    3. Do you have a four-year high school diploma, or its educational equivalent approved by a state's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization along with four (4) years of experience as described in question "2" above?

    4. Do you have a satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to that described in questions "1," "2," and/or "3" above?
