    The Parking Facilities and Capital Projects Group of Parking Operations is seeking to hire a capable, confident, and dedicated Stock Worker Level 2 for the stockroom to manage the well planned and timely procurement/delivery of materials; equipment and tools; and inventory to support the field operations of the Group. The Group oversees the installation and maintenance of parking meter bases & signs and operates & maintains off-street parking facilities. The main function of the Stock Room is to receive and deliver materials, equipment, and tools to maintain a level of inventory support to the field operations staff.

     

    The selected candidate’s tasks will also include, but are not limited to: Under supervision, the candidate will be responsible for the receipt, classification, storage, care, distribution, requisitioning, and inventory of materials, tools, supplies and equipment. Participate in the loading and unloading of goods, and dispatching trucks at the storehouse or at the point of pickup, delivery, or distribution. Verifying, counting, and checking orders before shipping or distributing; operate equipment such as forklifts & pallet jacks to perform loading/unloading and snow removal; Assist in the receiving process to ensure all goods (including Hazardous materials) are stored properly or delivered promptly to users with the Material Safety Data Sheet when applicable. Oversee the Universal Waste Room and comply with state rules and regulations. Inspect all incoming shipments to ensure requested quantity is received and in good condition. Maintain various operational logs and City Time Production, assists in maintenance of accurate records of receipts, issues, and reports as needed in computer system WASP. Assist in semi-annual/annual inventory, including chemical inventory reports through physical count of materials. Prepare lists of surplus or obsolete materials and arrange for their transfer or disposition, taking the necessary precautions to protect stock from deterioration or spoilage. Proactively assist in conducting market research for upgrading equipment, quality materials and cost saving methodology. Drive vehicles in the streets of the five boroughs for pickups and deliveries. May perform the duties of the supervisor in his/her temporary absence. Perform other related duties.

    Salary Min: $ 40,321.00

     

    Salary Max: $ 60,289.00
