We are seeking a **CDL A Field Service Technician** to join our team. In this role, you will operate DOT-regulated vehicles to transport materials and equipment, while also performing hands-on technical service at customer sites. This includes troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems, conducting repairs and maintenance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and service.
This is a dynamic, customer-facing position that requires a **Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A)** , mechanical aptitude, critical thinking, and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
+ Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver and transport equipment to and from customer sites.
+ Perform field service work, including system inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment.
+ Support a safe work environment by following company and client safety procedures at all times.
+ Accurately complete service reports, inspections, and other documentation.
+ Interact with customers in a professional and solutions-focused manner.
+ Manage company tools, vehicles, and equipment with care and responsibility.
+ Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
+ **Valid Class A CDL** with clean driving record.
+ **Ability to obtain a DOT medical card** and pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screenings.
+ Ability to travel overnight, drive long-distance routes, and work flexible hours.
+ Able to obtain customer site access credentials (e.g., TWIC, DISA).
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor and industrial environments.
Preferred Experience & Skills
+ 1+ year of experience in a technical or mechanical role (electrical, diesel, plumbing, or fusion experience is a plus).
+ Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices for reporting and communication.
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
Work Environment
+ Industrial and outdoor job sites, subject to varying weather conditions and machinery noise.
+ Frequent travel to customer locations, sometimes across state lines (passport may be required).
+ Must be comfortable working in a shop or manufacturing environment and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

Salary range:
$38,300.00 - $61,300.00
