    The Senior Manager, Content and Creative, Brand Marketing plays a key role in creating the strategy, establishing key performance indicators, and executing creative, social media and content marketing initiatives across the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of brands inclusive of brands ranging from distinctive (i.e. Westin) to classic (i.e. Courtyard [ML1] ). The role will be a core member of the US/CAN Marketing team driving strategy and execution for creative & content across brand social media, brand partnerships, and brand digital marketing tactics to deliver against brand and content goals including Marriott Bonvoy affiliation. In addition to other duties assigned, this role will work with center Brand, Portfolio and Loyalty teams to manage the strategy and execution of the comprehensive brand content ecosystem consisting of dedicated brand websites, brand social media channels, influencer programs, Marriott.com and other Marriott digital touchpoints. This role will need to be an innovator – supporting the brand’s overarching strategies (i.e., engagement, awareness, influencers, etc.) on key platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and more. This role will also collaborate on the strategy and execution of digital and social advertising in partnership with paid media team – including social content publishing and paid amplification. Role will also be responsible for the ongoing evolution of the brand paid media and social playbooks and support property social best practices. This role will report to the Sr. Director Content & Creative and partner closely with key members of brand marketing teams, integrated marketing strategy teams, creative team, public relations, digital product, external agencies, key hotel stakeholders, and the field/franchise organizations. The role will manage agency teams directly as required.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Required

    + 8+ years of social media marketing, advertising, brand social marketing, digital marketing, or content marketing experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance

    + 4-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related major

    Preferred

    + Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units.

    + Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.

    + Demonstrated experience with Social Media marketing, monitoring, management, measurement, content and advertising.

    + Demonstrated experience with social media influencer programs.

    + Solid understanding of social marketing trends and industry best practices.

    CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

    Content & Creative

    + Leading creative & content strategy and execution for holistic social, brand paid media, and digital initiatives.

    + Work autonomously to author and drive creative & content for social/digital/paid media strategy for brand initiatives while also providing strategic guidance for continent and hotel-level initiatives - if applicable.

    + Manage the brand creative agency of record and oversee strategic initiatives related to social, paid media, and content strategy for the brands.

    + Work with agency and internal partners to deliver creative assets such as digital display, video, social media assets, paid search ads, emails, landing pages, on-site promotional placements.

    + Oversee brand paid media content creation, manage performance and creative swap calendars, and work closely with the brand continent social team to support influencer programs, social content and editorial calendars.

    + Ensuring brand voice is implemented across paid media, digital and social campaigns.

    + Consult with brand marketing leads & continent social team on branded content (video series, brand films, etc) initiatives and in some cases lead them.

    + Develop strong relationships with Marriott subject matter experts and channel leaders, agencies, media and distribution partners to cost effectively maximize opportunities for the brand while ensuring high-quality on-strategy creative is delivered.

    + Support and liaise with the field organization and other team members on digital/social/paid media creative & content best practices to ensure alignment.

    Brand Social

    + Oversee and drive strategy and workflow of paid social campaigns supporting the digital brand strategy.

    + Oversee agencies for each brand.

    + Oversee social media monitoring, advertising, promotions/contests and other activations implemented by agency or in house.

    + Work with continent brand social team and center on development of Social Media Playbooks for hotels/field/agencies and lead quarterly calls related to this content.

    + Liaise with continent and center social media teams to collaborate on best practices and customer care integration.

    + Work with the field organization, continent social team, and agency partners to ensure local level social media is implemented and on strategy, ongoing communication will be critical.

    Project Management & Communication

    + Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule.

    + Manage creative & content marketing budget. Keep flowcharts/plans/budgets up to date.

    + Partner with Measurement and Analytics team on creative & content dashboard creation, KPI definition and alignment, and regularly report out performance and learnings to key stakeholders and executive team.

    + Monitor and report out on industry best practices and competitive/landscape trends to field and other stake holders to ensure best practices are up to date in social playbooks for owner and franchise community.

    + Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc. Create streamlined information for internal reports/audits/analysis of social and paid media performance (including but not limited to Marriott.com, Brand Website, Social media, Paid Media, Search) and well as create compelling marketing and reporting presentations.

    + Assist senior associates in achieving business results by:

    + Identifying opportunities to enhance process

    + Providing training and guidance to field as subject matter experts

    + Participating in annual planning sessions

    + Achieving results within scope of responsibility.

    The pay range for this position is $47.35 to $64.71 per hour.

     

    Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
