Envision - Creative Support for People with Developmental Disabilities in Evans Colorado is looking for a person to become a part of our Envision team as an Accounting Specialist.

SHIFT: Part time Position – 20-29 hours/week, Monday through Thursday (Envision offices are closed on Fridays)

SUMMARY:

Supports Envision in enhancing the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and perform needed billing duties. This position supports Envision’s finance function by helping prepare monthly general ledger journal entries; reconcile bank accounts; analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts; and prepare monthly draft financial statements for review. This position will be back up to the other positions within the Finance and Administration Department including the Finance and Administration Director, Billing Technician and Accounts Payable/Payroll Technician. This position will start part time (20-29 hours/week) and may turn full time (36 hours/week) at some point.

Required Experience:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Associate's degree in accounting and a minimum of two (2) years general ledger experience required.

+ Understanding of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

+ Proficiency in account reconciliation experience required.

+ Must have PC based computing experience in Word Processing, Word, Excel Spreadsheets, outlook and knowledge of statistics.

+ Experience with a non-profit organization is preferred.

+ Must have motor vehicle, provide proof of automobile insurance, have a valid Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
