Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst to support a newly stood up PMO within in IT, gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in stakeholder engagement, process analysis, and translating business needs into functional specifications. A strong understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies is essential, as the Business System Analyst will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Pay Rate: $45-$50 USD/hour

Estimated Length of Contract: 6 months, extensions/perm possible

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to gather and analyze business requirements.

Document clear, concise, and comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Facilitate and lead requirements workshops, interviews, and meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment.

Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize the product backlog and refine user stories.

Support Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure proper implementation of solutions.

Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and coordinating stakeholder involvement and ensure UAT teams have thorough understanding of acceptance criteria.

Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years BSA experience

Strong experience in eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements.

Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in telecommunications industry and software delivery

Familiarity with enterprise level systems. null
