We are seeking a **Senior Resident Engineer /** **CM Project Manager 3** to join our Idaho team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for ensuring the project is built according to plans and specifications. PM will work directly with clients on project delivery and close out.
+ Responsible for reviewing and approving contract change orders, progress and final pay estimates, comprehensive field reports, and miscellaneous correspondence. Reviews plans and estimates for completeness and accuracy. Prepare comprehensive reports and correspondence; writes reports and conducts project site investigations.
+ Ensures that project construction conforms to traffic control, environmental, hazardous waste and storm water pollution prevention criteria.
+ Coordinates resources such as equipment, vehicles, offices, construction staking requests and overtime. Assist with ensuring that the project records are maintained per the contract documents.
+ Must be able to communicate effectively with others including Atlas staff, technical/professional level staff of outside agencies, resident engineers, contractor’s personnel, and members of the public regarding construction projects. Has frequent contact with government representative, private contractors, and traveling public.
Minimum requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or another related field.
+ Registration as an Idaho Professional Engineer is desirable.
+ Approximately ten (10) years of experience in Construction Management on roadway or bridge projects
+ Approximately three (3) years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction contracts
+ Valid Idaho Class C driver’s license.
+ Contractor experience (Project Manager, Superintendent, Engineer) desirable. AND
+ Experience working with the Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD) standards, specifications, Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC), and Construction Manual and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) procedures
+ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Must meet internal requirements for operation of company vehicles throughout duration of employment and must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
+ Must be willing and able to travel to job sites.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
+ Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation, and color vision
+ Moving, carrying, and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds
+ Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
+ Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
Technical requirements:
+ The Project Manager will perform a wide variety of transportation related management activities.
+ May serve as the licensed professional resident engineer on construction projects, if applicable.
+ Will assign work, give instructions, make decisions on difficult engineering and administrative problems in connection with directing work on various transportation projects.
