Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Tariff Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Ogden, Utah. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate pricing and cost management by analyzing tariff-related data and collaborating with multiple departments. Your efforts will help optimize profitability while maintaining compliance with tariff regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update a comprehensive tariff tracker that includes vendor invoices, purchase orders, sales orders, and work orders.
• Reconcile purchase orders to ensure selling prices are accurately adjusted based on tariff-related cost impacts.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and sales teams to keep tariff data accurate and effectively communicate updates to customers.
• Analyze data to identify discrepancies or issues in tariff costs and pricing, escalating problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide actionable insights to support decision-making related to pricing and tariff management.
• Develop and maintain reports to monitor tariff trends and their impact on business operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tariff regulations and company policies.
• Assist in creating tools and processes to streamline tariff tracking and reporting. Requirements • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify potential issues.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheets, and relevant tools, with a solid understanding of pricing methodologies and cost structures.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data management and reporting.
• Ability to solve problems and address discrepancies related to tariff costs and pricing.
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques, such as dashboards or business intelligence systems.
• Knowledge of data mining and business analytics practices, including AB testing and creating business requirement documents.
• Familiarity with tools like Informatica, Maps API, and Microsoft applications.
