Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Homewood, Illinois. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional attention to detail. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of supplier invoice processing while contributing to the overall operations of a machinery manufacturing company.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input supplier invoices into the company’s accounting system.

• Investigate and resolve purchase order discrepancies and variances.

• Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding invoices, statements, and payment inquiries.

• Collaborate with team members to support the automated document management system.

• Handle special projects as assigned to meet organizational needs.

• Process a high volume of invoices, averaging 300-400 entries daily.

• Utilize Epicor software for accounts payable tasks and data management.

• Maintain a detail-oriented approach while adhering to business casual dress code (jeans permitted on Fridays).

The salary range for this position is $22/hr to $23/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field.

• Proficiency in data entry with fast and accurate typing skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Familiarity with Epicor or similar accounting systems.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers and team members.

• Ability to manage high-volume invoice processing efficiently.

• Availability to work on-site in Homewood, Illinois.
