    Director of Human Resources

     

    Hybrid – Two Days Remote | Minimal Travel (~10%)

     

    A dynamic, mid-sized organization in the advanced manufacturing and technology solutions space is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across multiple business units and cross-functional teams. This role supports two senior leaders and oversees a collaborative HR team of 3, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs while nurturing a people-first culture.

     

    This role offers a hybrid work model (Mondays and Fridays remote), competitive compensation up to $175K base plus bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Guide and support business leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement, and strategic talent initiatives.

    + Lead a small HR team (one manager, two generalists) with a focus on team development, coaching, and operational excellence.

    + Serve as a trusted advisor during periods of change, acquisition integration, and evolving team structures.

    + Direct and contribute to core HR programs including employee relations, performance cycles, training initiatives, talent development, and benefit communications.

    + Champion an inclusive and positive workplace culture through proactive engagement strategies and leadership coaching.

    + Partner with recruiting stakeholders and hiring managers to support strategic hiring, internal mobility, and workforce capability alignment.

    + Ensure compliance with labor regulations and drive ongoing process audits to maintain strong governance across HR operations.

    + Contribute to the development and implementation of evolving HR technologies and tools; familiarity with major systems migrations a plus.

    + Collaborate on the creation and rollout of leadership development programs, employee feedback loops, and organizational competency frameworks.

    Requirements

    Ideal Background

     

    + 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing HR staff and supporting multiple functions or brands.

    + Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or operationally complex environment preferred.

    + Strong command of employment law, compliance practices, and HR policy development.

    + Proven ability to manage through ambiguity, offer grounded guidance during change, and build trust with senior leaders.

    + Confident presenter and facilitator with experience designing and delivering training and communication to various audience levels.

    + Demonstrated success in supporting fast-paced, performance-driven environments while maintaining a strategic lens.

    + Prior experience working with or implementing enterprise HR systems (Workday, Oracle, or similar platforms).

    + HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) strongly preferred.

    Compensation & Benefits

     

    + Base Salary: $130,000-$175,000, depending on experience

    + Annual Bonus Target: 10%
