Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Accounting in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for a part-time term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to teach multiple sections or courses at the undergraduate or graduate level, starting Fall 2025. Term length will be between one and three years with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance.
The standard part-time teaching load is two courses per semester (i.e., a 2-2 teaching load), though a different course allocation across semesters or additional teaching may be requested depending upon department need. The successful candidate will be able to deliver using one or more of the following modes: on campus (required), online, blended, or flipped, and participate in department service activities as required.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) or professional experience sufficient to maintain Instructional Practitioner (IP) status under AACSB accreditation standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience at the college level.
