Job Description

Responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Anesthesia equipment

Job Responsibility

1.Assists Anesthesiologist in setting up equipment for surgical cases.

2.Applies blood pressure cuff, EKG electrodes and pulse oximeter.

3.Retrieves anesthetic medications for Anesthesiologist and Nurse Anesthetist;

along with Nurse Anesthetist maintains inventory control.

4.Tests 02 analyzers, changes batteries, replace membrane and electrode solutions.

5.Positions patients for regional anesthesia.

6.Maintains inventory of anesthesia supplied and pre-stocks anesthesia machines.

7.Orders supplies and equipment

8.Tests and maintains C02 analyzer.

9.Tests and maintains Doppler's.

10. Maintains the working condition of the anesthesia machines, monitors, fluid

warmers, and medication pumps.

11.Changes 02 and N20 tanks on anesthesia machines.

12.Maintains scavenging system on anesthesia machines.

13.Changes solid breathing circuits on anesthesia machines.

14.Attaches tubing to drip solutions

15.Reports damaged equipment to engineering department.

16.Loads recorder with tracing paper.

17.Maintains cleanliness of anesthesia machines, LMA's, laryngoscopes, blades, handles and fiber optic intubating scopes.

18.Maintains specialty anesthesia supply carts such as the peds and difficult intubation carts. These carts are to be orderly and stocked.

19.Performs related duties as required.

Job Qualification

1. High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

2.Minimum of 1 year Direct Patient Care experience required.

The salary range for this position is $25.21-$27.39/hour
