Job Summary

Line Leads assist Supervisors in the coordination and management of department activities to meet daily production goals.

Primary Duties

+ Review daily production schedule and ensure demands are met through proper scheduling of work

+ Provide leadership, communication and work direction for employees by assigning work and participating in workload where needed

+ Provide training to new and existing employees as needed

+ Periodically review the work of line employees to ensure adherence to quality standards and work instructions

+ Periodically check and ensure line employees have adequate supplies to perform job

+ Ensure employees are aware of and provided with proper protective equipment and trained on chemical use and emergency exits in the department.

+ Responsible for compliance and adherence of safety policies and procedures

+ Inform Supervisors/Plant Manager of any department or employee issues; provide recommendations

+ Contact OES/Maintenance to resolve equipment issues

+ Enter data into and review information in CMS and Training Manager as needed

+ Participate in various improvement activities

+ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities.

+ Knowledge of customer requirements as they relate to their job function

+ Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances

Education / Experience

+ Computer experience

+ Hands on experience with all department functions
