Brief Job Description
This positions come with a tuition scholarship that will cover up to 9 credits of tuition at the in-state rate per semester.
Buffalo State University partners with Middle Early College High School and DaVinci High School (both Buffalo Public Schools) to host upper division high school students to take college level courses. This graduate assistantship will support the Dual Enrollment office in facilitating a collegiate experience for these students.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and check in dual enrollment students to ensure engagement, participation and student safety.
• Maintain regular communication with students to support their academic success.
• Facilitate and assist in workshops focused on college readiness, academic skills, and career exploration.
• Collaborate with the Dual Enrollment team to develop and implement student engagement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and progress.
• Provide general administrative support to the Dual Enrollment team as needed.
Required Qualifications
Current or entering full-time (6 credit hours) matriculated graduate student at Buffalo State College.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working with youth; experience with urban youth populations strongly preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Interest in education, counseling, student services, or a related field.
+ Flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to supporting diverse student populations.
