Job Description

Our facility in Des Moines is equipped with cutting-edge glass fabrication technology, including tempering and insulating glass machinery, CNC technology, and a top-tier powder coat paint line. Responsibilities
+ Assist in the assembly and production of windows according to established specifications and guidelines.
+ Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment in adherence to safety protocols.
+ Handle materials and components with precision, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
+ Perform meticulous quality checks on finished products to identify any defects or imperfections.
+ Collaborate closely with the production team to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace to optimize efficiency and safety.
+ Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
+ Flexibility to work Saturdays as required, based on production demands.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to read a tape measure and complete basic numerical calculations.
+ Operate small hand tools, chop saw, punch press, overhead crane, etc.
+ Maintain high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments.
+ Basic mechanical aptitude.
+ Ability to lift 65-75 pounds; push/pull 75 lbs.
+ 2 years of mechanical or manufacturing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred.
+ Tape measure skills.
+ Standing all day is required.

Work Environment
Work in a clean facility with occasional glass fragments on the ground. Operate in a laid-back atmosphere with your own station for independent assembly. Shift options include early morning and daytime hours, with potential overtime and Saturday work if needed. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, long sleeves or t-shirts, gloves, and protective sleeves. The environment emphasizes safety and efficiency.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DES MOINES, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
