Responsibilities
Business Office Coordinator
Seeking an experienced healthcare professional with a strong insurance background to oversee our on-site business office. This role manages insurance verification, compliance, surgical scheduling, and medical record documentation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
+ Extensive experience in medical insurance processes, billing, and verification
+ Strong working knowledge of surgical scheduling and healthcare documentation requirements
+ Proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional administrative teams
+ Familiarity with healthcare compliance programs and privacy regulations
+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
+ Supervise insurance verification and ensure accurate, timely billing coordination with coders and billers
+ Oversee scheduling of surgical procedures, physician block time, and coordination with clinical staff
+ Ensure timely and accurate transcription and completion of operative reports and medical records
+ Maintain compliance with HIPAA, billing regulations, and facility policies
+ Monitor staff timesheets and payroll reporting; troubleshoot computer and security issues
+ Support a smooth patient flow and serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, and insurance companies
+ Participate in compliance programs and help maintain a positive, professional environment
+ Provide backup scheduling support as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical facility or medical business office
+ Prior supervisory experience preferred
+ Experience in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) operations and a strong background in medical accounting highly desirable
