    ASO PROF: Candidates for this rank shall hold the highest degree appropriate to their field or possess professional qualifications above those equivalent to the highest degree relevant to their field. They are expected to have produced creative work, professional writing, or research and successful teaching or professional experience. A candidate for this rank must have a distinguished record of achievement beyond the assistant professor level.

     

    FULL PROF: Candidates for this faculty rank shall be qualified for the rank of associate professor and, in addition, be a recognized national or international authority or an outstanding teacher in their field or specialization. A candidate for this rank must have a distinguished record of achievement beyond the associate professor level.

    Job Description:

    The Office of Research Affairs at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville invites applications for a full- time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to further grow our research focus on precision population health. We are seeking established, extramurally-funded researchers who will enhance and expand our move toward a more targeted, precision approach to maintaining the health and wellness of the large and diverse population we serve. Moreover, we seek to provide value-add to our existing federally funded programs in the specific areas of population genomics, biomarker discovery, preventative health screening, and implementation science. As our mission is to translate groundbreaking research to our patients and community, expanding access to cutting-edge precision technology and testing is a key area of focus for our college.     This position offers opportunities for both tenured and non-tenured academic tracks, depending on the candidate's experience, background, and whether or not the candidate is a clinician.

Over the last five years, total funding has grown by 63% through strategic integration with the main campus in Gainesville, investments in access to healthcare data, enhanced data analytics (through our Center for Data Solutions), and machine learning through partnerships with the University of Florida’s Integrated Data Repository and HiPerGator high-performance computing system.     Expected Salary:

    Academic appointment will commensurate with training and level of experience; benefits are excellent.

    Required Qualifications:

    Candidates should have an MD/DO/PhD in a relevant field.

    Preferred:

    Ideal candidates will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank with an established record of federal funding as principal investigators. Preference will be given to candidates with 3–5 years of experience conducting their own original research.
