    Senior Human Services Program Specialist

     

    This is an Internal Agency Opportunity for qualified candidates currently employed with the Department of Children and Families.

     

    This position is for SunCoast Region Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency Specialized Medicaid Center of Excellence unit. Long Term Care, DDD and/of Group Home processing experience preferred. May involve some travel. Facility is a tobacco free environment

     

    The bi-weekly salary range for this position is $1,598.52 - $3,356.76.

    PRIMARY DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

    + Coordinate with operations to ensure performance measures are met in each service center through data analysis, case reviews, recommendations, and follow-up.

    + Provide quality assurance support by completing various ADHOC reports and delivers findings.

    + Review and analyze performance data to determine service center and/or region policy and procedural strengths and opportunities.

    + Recommend technical assistance targeted to problem areas. Serve as a regional On Call specialist as required, responding to operations staff, community partners, Call Center staff, and customers to resolve policy and/or procedural questions or concerns.

    + Develop, interpret, coordinate, and communicate program policies and procedures specific to Region and Operations staff.

    + Develop training curriculum.

    + Provide in-service training.

    + Provide pre-service training.

    + Act as liaison between region and Central Office in identifying local needs and issues.

    + Compile statistical reports and prepare memos and other correspondence as requested.

    + Provide technical and systems training to the Regional Management Team and assist with analysis, forecasting and produce related reports.

    + Act as liaison to other community and/or government agencies and serve as a spokesperson on program policy when necessary.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    + Knowledge of the organization’s mission, vision, and functions, and how its social, political, and technological systems work and operate effectively with them.

    + Develop and maintain data sources for the purpose of running queries and developing reports as needed.

    + Must have knowledge of, and experience in, the public assistance programs administered by Economic Self Sufficiency including Food and Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and Refugee Programs.

    + Knowledge of the FLORIDA and FLMMIS systems, Application Management System (AMS), Quality Management System (QMS), ESS Online Data and Reports, and MS Office Programs.

    + Knowledgeable of methods for compiling, organizing, and analyzing data for the purpose of preparing the agency’s business plans, business plan spreadsheets, and other reports as needed.

    + Organizes work products, sets priorities, determines short or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them.

    + Monitors and evaluates the outcomes of a problem solution to identify lessons learned or redirect efforts.

    + Knowledge of program policies and procedures as mandated by federal, state, and local governing agencies.

    + Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.

    + Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

    + Knowledge of various computer applications, presentation software and A/V equipment preferred.

    PREFERENCE :

    + Specialized with long term care, DDD, and/or Group Home processing experience

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    + A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or four (4) years professional experience in health, social, economic, or rehabilitative programs.

    + A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.

    + Professional or nonprofessional experience as required above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

    + Minimum of three years of case processing experience in programs related to Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS).

    + Possess a valid driver license.

    + Must be able to lift 25lbs or more.

    + Must be willing to travel.
