    Our Bone and Joint Services and Family Health Clinics offer a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic care for patients of all ages with neuromusculoskeletal problems or injuries. Our sports medicine team understands the importance of training, conditioning and both surgical and non-surgical treatments. We offer complete medical care to the athlete, from musculoskeletal injuries to issues pertaining to nutrition and health maintenance. Our goal is to balance therapeutic treatment and maintaining sports or other physical disciplines at peak performance.

     

    As a Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that Straub patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at Straub. You will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in our Sports Medicine department and assist with a variety of administrative tasks. These include interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients’ medical records; performing accurate and timely processing of all professional/technical fees generated by department providers; and performing cash handling and collection. We are looking for someone sensitive and helpful, with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

    **Minimum Qualifications:** High school or equivalent. One (1) year of clerical support in a health care setting or related experience. Basic computer skills.

    **Preferred Qualifications:** Basic medical terminology. Experience with EPIC. International Classification of Diseases 9th edition (ICD-10) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding certification.
