About the Role: The SQL & ETL Developer will lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our corporate financial data ecosystem. This role is responsible for designing and delivering robust ETL processes, automating back-office operations, and supporting integration efforts with internal stakeholders and external partners, including banks, payroll providers (e.g., ADP), and risk management vendors.
Annual Salary Range: $81,000-$101,000 annually

The SQL and ETL Developer plays a key role in modernizing legacy systems and automating financial, billing, and HRIS processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. This position also provides technical oversight and hands-on development for a wide range of SQL-based solutions including stored procedures, SSIS packages, and ERP bolt-on applications.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage and maintain a large inventory of custom SQL-based applications, stored procedures, and SSIS packages.
+ Design, develop, and support ETL workflows using T-SQL, SSIS, and other integration tools.
+ Lead the design and delivery of automated data exchange processes for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data-driven solutions.
+ Support and maintain financial and operational reporting modules, including custom billing and HR/payroll reports.
+ Act as a subject matter expert for database development and ETL best practices.
+ Provide support for financial systems integration, including accounting processes and operational KPIs.
+ Propose and implement modern alternatives to legacy solutions using current technologies and architecture.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and performance optimization.
+ Provide off-hours support for critical data load issues and ensure job execution reliability.
+ Maintain strict data confidentiality and ensure secure data transformation practices.
+ Other duties as required.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Field and years of experience required:5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Skills and Knowledge Required:
+ 3+ years of experience with SSIS and other ETL/integration tools.
+ Strong background in financial systems, accounting processes, or HR/payroll data integration (ADP, in-house systems).
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to independently resolve technical issues.
+ Experience working with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders across multiple departments.
+ Familiarity with secure data handling, PII compliance, and data governance standards.
+ Basic HTML and XML
+ Experience with ERP systems and custom bolt-on development.
+ Exposure to modern data platforms and cloud integration tools (Azure Data Factory, etc.).
+ Familiarity with reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, SSRS).
