The Department Team Lead’s primary responsibility is to assist with guiding the activities of the department’s machine operators, meet production quality standards and help maximize productivity. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with sanitation, Safety, and GMP standards. This position is an assistant to the front-Production Supervisor. When absent the Production Supervisor will assume the necessary operational and administrative duties.

**Schedule:** Monday - Friday (Saturday OT)

**Salary, based on experience and other qualifications:** $27.95 - $33.12 Per Hour
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
+ The Team Lead is responsible for guiding the activities of department personnel to ensure efficient production processes and procedures. To include, identifying problems, bottlenecks in the production process and working to resolve those issues.
+ Performs all tasks in accordance with GMP’s, company policies and procedures.
+ Partners with Training Leads to create training guidelines for department and ensures employees are properly trained. May act as trainer for positions within the department.
+ Stay up-to-date on all Computer Based Training (CBT)
+ Has working knowledge and/or the ability to operate all machines, cook areas and changeovers for the assigned department.
+ Accountable for documentation, to include accurate completion of cleaning and audit forms, feedback and assisting with evaluations.
+ Must embrace the TreeHouse Way and leads by example.
+ Safely operates necessary equipment to meet the needs of the assigned task
+ Strives to achieve maximum production by coordinating activities and maintaining communications within the department and with all other departments.
+ Actively supports and participates in cost saving initiatives including Continuous Improvement goals in safety, quality, production, and customer service.
+ Assures that production priorities are being achieved by checking and complying with production schedules as well as daily requirements.
+ Knowledge of HACCP in FDA facilities and GMPs is essential.
+ Safely and accurately perform all duties as required for this position to ensure the safety and quality of our products.
+ All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Critical Skill Requirements:
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
+ Experience with SAP is preferred.
+ Assumes leadership role and sets a positive example for team members.
+ Must be dependable, reliable, and handle equipment safely and sensibly.
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and perform accurate math functions.
+ Understands and abides by Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Good Manufacturing Principles (GMPs).
+ Forklift experienced preferred. Must be willing to obtain forklift certification.
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and perform accurate math functions.
+ Able to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays/Sundays, as determined by business needs.
+ Experience working with manufacturing equipment preferred.
+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Physical Demands:
+ Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
+ Must be able to perform the following: standing, climbing, pulling, and or pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and stooping.
+ Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
+ Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
+ Good hand/eye coordination, motor skills, 20/20 corrected vision and hearing within the normal range.
Environmental, Health and Safety Requirements:
+ Must wear all required personal protection equipment associated with specific manufacturing work environment and job duties as stated in the Employee Handbook, posted policies, or as assigned by leadership personnel. To include, wearing Blue Nitrile Gloves in production Zone 1 areas.
+ Follows all safety policies and procedures, such as lock out/tag out, safe lifting techniques, and all others as instructed.
Food Safety:
+ Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
+ Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
+ Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
+ Inform Management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements. Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
